A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This polychrome Buddha sits in full lotus on an imposing tiered shrine throne. His snail-curl hair rises to a red jewel, a small urna marks the brow, and his gold-threaded robe — dark red woven with gilt pattern — leaves the chest bare. One hand rests at the knee, lightly holding a green sprig; the other cradles a golden lotus bud in the lap. Beneath him opens a vast multi-layered lotus pedestal, its dark petals traced with gold. The pointed aureole behind is ringed with pierced flames like rising fire, its inner panel painted with scrolling vines and dragons beneath a golden crest. The deep-red throne climbs in tiers of gold flowers, lotus bands and hanging bead tassels — the figure serene, the seat a small palace. Made to be enshrined whole at a shrine's centre, or to anchor the axis of a room.
