A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This wood-toned seated Buddha rests before a tall aureole. His hair is worked in tight curls over the ushnisha, an urna marks the brow, and a swastika sits squarely at his chest; he sits in full lotus on a double lotus pedestal with eyes lowered. The right hand reaches down, fingertips touching the knee, while the left rests in the lap holding a smooth round jewel. His robe covers one shoulder and falls in slow arcs across the chest and knees. Behind him the aureole rises to a pointed arch, its surface covered edge to edge with curling clouds and flame scrolls and ringed with seven small seated Buddhas; a round halo frames the head. Below, a rectangular stand carries a carved lotus. Warm and unadorned, the piece suits enshrinement at a shrine's main position or as a calming anchor in a room.
