A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This polychrome standing warrior in red armour carries a long glaive. A green cap with a single red jewel crowns his crimson face and glaring eyes, while his grey beard surges to the left in rolling waves. One shoulder and sleeve are rich orange-red picked out in gold; across the other side falls a pale turquoise robe surface dense with golden scrollwork, the two colours crossing at his chest. At the belly looms a large dark-bronze beast-head breastplate, fierce and heavy, with turquoise bead strings and looped cords at the waist above layered skirt armour. His right hand holds the glaive slanting down to the left, its blade carved with coiling patterns; his left hand winds a thin cord at his hip, and a spear leans out behind his shoulder. The hems roll back to show an orange lining as he stands in patterned boots on a rocky base of yellow, orange and grey stone, with tiny pines clustered at its corners. Red against turquoise, all force — a striking piece for the facing spot in a hall or entryway, and for collectors of warriors.
