A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This polychrome standing warrior in a green robe carries a golden glaive. His gold crown is set with a red jewel above a crimson face with heavy brows and glaring eyes, and his jet-black beard surges out to the left, billowing level with his shoulders. The broad robe is chiefly emerald green, its surface smooth and flowing with gilt edges; across the chest and belly sits a gorgeous breast ornament of blue, red and gold woven into a beast face, cinched by a gold belt, with layered skirt armour and turquoise bead strings below. In his right hand the ornate glaive hangs point-down to the left, its blade carved with a coiling golden dragon; his left hand lightly holds a loop of thin red cord at his side, and a spear tip juts behind his shoulder. The whole green hem is blown to one side, flashing its red lining, as he stands in patterned boots on a rugged rock base of dark brown shot with gold. Bold in colour and forceful in stance — a piece to command an entryway or hall, and to suit collectors of warrior figures.
