A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This polychrome standing warrior carries a long glaive and wears his beard like a banner. A soft green cap with a red jewel crowns an ochre-red face with knitted brows, while the grey-black beard is torn sideways by an unseen wind, rolling in waves across half his body. His war robe is predominantly orange-red, its folds edged in gold lines; at his chest sits a dark bronze beast-head breastplate, fierce and prominent, and below his waist hang turquoise bead strings and looped cords above layered skirt armour. The right hand lets the great glaive hang diagonally at his side, its broad blade carved with a coiling dragon; the left hand loosely grips a small ring at his hip, and a spear tip shows behind one shoulder. One foot set before the other on a rocky base of yellow, green and orange stone, he seems to have just halted and turned. Beard and hems stream the same way — a commanding piece for an entryway or hall, and for collectors of warrior figures.
