The Wrathful One on the Blue Lion

This wrathful figure rides a lion, in bold full colour with no aureole behind it — beast and rider carry the whole presence on their own. The deity's face is deep blue, eyes wide and glaring, brows locked, a small golden crown on the topknot; he wears golden robes with a red sash, one hand sealed in a gesture at his chest, seated firm on the lion's back. The mount is a dark-blue lion with a green mane curled like clouds, jaws open on red tongue and white teeth, a red-and-gold harness and bells at its chest and a golden knot ornament hanging at one side. Each of its four feet stands on a golden lotus-bud base, white claws distinct; beneath them rolls a layer of blue waves, lifting the group onto the crest. Golden robe, blue lion, green mane, red harness — the colours collide cheerfully while the expression stays stern. It belongs where a space needs guarding: an entry, a hall front, the side of a desk — keeping stillness, and keeping order.
