A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This standing figure with joined palms is finished in a pale golden-yellow tone. Shaven-headed with long earlobes, his face turned slightly aside and lowered, eyes half closed, he presses his palms firmly together before his chest, standing upright yet approachable. His robe falls from the shoulders, the drapery gathering in slow, generous arcs across the belly and shins, the hem flaring gently to reveal bare feet. There is no aureole and no high pedestal — the figure stands on posture alone: the joined hands, the bowed head and the water-like fall of the folds convey a quiet devotion, cleanly and completely. The tone throughout is warm and bright, as if steeped in morning light. It suits the side position of a shrine, an entryway or a tea-room corner — unobtrusive, and a place of gathered attention in itself.
