Gold-Colored Seated Figure Holding a Lotus

Viewing notes

A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record

This gold-colored seated figure holds a single lotus stem that crosses the body in a graceful diagonal, a bud and an opening bloom rising beside the shoulder. The tall crown climbs in ornamented tiers; the golden robes fall in smooth, unhurried folds, and beaded ornaments set with small colored accents rest across the chest and knees. Face, hands and feet alone keep a pale, jade-like finish, set off against all that gold. One foot touches a lotus bud at the corner of the throne while a sash spills beyond the seat in a slow curve. The splendour is complete, yet the expression stays quiet — a commanding presence for a shrine, a hall, or the principal position in any space.
