A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This polychrome standing Buddha rests barefoot on a double golden lotus pedestal, a pointed-arch aureole rising in tiers behind him. His curled hair is blue with a single red jewel at the topknot, an urna between his brows and a swastika clear on his chest, his gaze cast down. The right arm hangs naturally at his side, while the left hand holds a fully opened golden lotus level before his belly. The robe is red-orange throughout, dense with floral roundels and cloud scrolls, its edges trimmed in silver pattern on blue, a flash of bright yellow lining within, and a deep purple skirt patterned below. The aureole's outer band is orange-red flame climbing to the point; inside, a blue border studded with gold beads frames green scrolling foliage that lifts several small golden lotuses, and behind his head a round halo alternates red and green around a small plain disc. Petal tier rises on petal tier, the pedestal waist gilt and inlaid. Robed like a sunset cloud and standing at ease, he suits enshrinement facing the door of a shrine, or a place beside a room's entrance, calming to behold.
