A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This polychrome seated Buddha holds a golden bowl. He sits in full lotus on a great golden lotus pedestal, his snail curls deep blue with a dot of red at the crown, an urna between his brows, eyes lowered in peace and a golden swastika at his chest. His robe is an orange-red brocade woven thick with floral roundels and cloud scrolls, a blue-grey lining showing at the collar, the drapery massing into layered blossoms across his knees. Both hands rest in his lap, gently cradling a round golden bowl, fingers interlaced — a gathered, inward pose. Below the throne are a painted lotus-petal apron and a gilt octagonal stand. Red robe and golden bowl answer each other: warmth held inside stillness. A piece for a shrine, or for the corner of a quiet room that wants a touch of warmth.
