A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This polychrome standing Buddha wears a vermilion robe. His hair is drawn into neat snail curls, a small urna mark sits between his brows, and his golden face rests with lowered eyes and long earlobes. The robe is brushed with small gilt cloud scrolls, and a single brocade border runs unbroken from shoulder to hem. One hand cradles a small golden lotus at his chest; the other hangs at his side, palm turned outward. The drapery is broad and unhurried, falling straight from chest to hem, and his bare feet stand on a golden lotus pedestal ringed below with red. Gold and red answer each other across the whole figure — bright, but never gaudy. A piece for the principal place of a shrine, or for a well-lit hall it can warm at a glance.
