A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This polychrome armoured figure wears a golden crown above a youthful face, eyes lowered in unusual quiet for one in full war-gear. His scale armour mixes red, green and orange, the breastplate worked with fine scales and a beast mask, layered pauldrons at the shoulders and a beast-head buckle on the golden belt. Yellow sashes circle behind his shoulders in two smooth loops and fall to his feet at either side. Both hands rest lightly on a tall, segmented pestle set upright before him, its tip reaching the clouds between his feet. He stands on swirling clouds in blue and orange. Splendid yet composed, martial without anger, he suits a guardian's place in a shrine, or a position by the entryway, keeping quiet watch over the home.
