A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This standing attendant is finished in a single, saturated vermilion red from crown to base. Her hair is dressed in twin buns; her eyes are lowered and her expression meek, both hands folded together at her waist beneath a slow arc of hanging sleeve. Long sashes rise from her shoulders and loop behind her in two great open rings, then trail down beside her skirt to either side of the lotus pedestal, their ends curling upward. The layered robes are carved with relief-like folds at collar, cuff and hem, and the whole figure keeps one unbroken red, its modelling read purely through light and shade. She stands on a double lotus pedestal above a rugged rock-form base, red lotus echoing red stone. Quiet and reverent, she suits flanking a principal image in a shrine, or standing alone in a quiet corner to lend a room a composed, devout calm.
