A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This polychrome seated Buddha in an orange robe opens one palm and lets the other hand reach gently downward. The right palm spreads wide before the chest, fingers naturally parted; the left hand extends past the knee, fingertips pointing down. The face, hands and feet are gold against blue curled hair set with a red jewel. Orange-red robes cover both shoulders over a teal inner garment, the folds settling in slow arcs across the lap. Behind the figure rises a throne-like aureole of teal scrollwork crested with red flame dots. The lotus seat layers red and teal petals over a drum of carved clouds. Open-handed and unhurried, the figure suits a place of worship, or a quiet corner where the eye naturally comes to rest.
