A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This polychrome seated Buddha in an orange robe raises one palm before the chest. The face, hands and feet are gold; the blue curled hair carries a red jewel, and a red mark sits between the brows. The right palm stands upright at the chest, a small ring on one finger, while the left hand rests open, palm up, across the lap. The orange-red robe falls over a teal inner garment with a finely patterned chest band. Behind the figure, a throne-like aureole of teal scrollwork gathers to a pointed crest flecked with red flame dots. The seat is a broad lotus of red and teal petals, with a small golden beast crouched at the front of the base. The colouring is cheerful and the mood serene with a hint of teaching — a figure for a shrine, or for a quiet room where a single glance settles the heart.
