A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This polychrome standing Buddha in a red robe holds a small bowl with a lotus. The right hand hangs at the side, a tiny gold flower resting on the palm; the left hand, raised before the chest, holds a dark bowl in which a pink lotus half opens. A gold swastika marks the chest, and the blue curled hair carries a single red jewel at its top. The robe is a rich vermilion ground patterned all over with gold floral medallions and scrolling vines, with a bright yellow panel over the shoulder. Behind the figure rises a tall flame aureole, red tongues of fire edged with gold. The feet rest on an orange lotus pedestal above a black-and-gold octagonal base. All that red and gold is festive yet ordered — a figure to preside over a shrine, or to set a bright, confident tone in a room.
