A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This polychrome seated figure in red robes is backed by a tall golden halo. He wears a red cap and golden hoop earrings; short-moustached, brows slightly knit, gaze bright, he sits in full lotus on a golden lotus throne. Right hand holding a golden vajra upright at his chest, left cradling a treasure vase, a trident-topped staff leaning at his side. His dress is layered: an inner blue-grey robe woven with golden roundels, an outer deep-red robe with two great blossoms opened full at the knees, a green sash at the waist, and elaborate golden ornaments on his chest. His halo is the glory of the piece — a double oval ring carved all over with vines, gathering to a spear-point above tiers of golden petals. Majesty with splendour — made for a shrine's principal seat, or to set a hall's tone of solemn richness.
