A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This polychrome figure sits in lotus on a throne of layered rock. Crowned, with a light beard at his lip, he meditates with lowered eyes, his expression deep in stillness. Both hands are raised at his sides, palms upturned, as if holding something invisible. His robes are chiefly stone-green with orange linings, two long ribbons, blue and yellow, hanging from his chest, folds settling in tiers onto the seat. Behind him rises a wall of golden-yellow rock; before it an old pine coils upward, its brown boughs passing over his head, its needles in blue-green clusters, while a golden disc behind his head answers the gold of the rock. Left of the rocks grows a cluster of russet lingzhi forms; below, blue-grey stone gathers in layers. It carries a stretch of mountain forest indoors — made for a shrine or a room's principal place, steady, with a weathered strength.
