A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This polychrome bodhisattva stands in a lotus pond. Her crown rises high, blue hair falls to her shoulders, and she stands with lowered eyes — right hand forming a gentle seal at her chest, left lowered, fingers resting on a lotus stem. Her robes layer bright yellow over orange, woven with roundel patterns, her sashes hanging light. Behind her, lotus stems rise from the water and bend above her head into a circular halo, answering the pale gold disc behind her crown; all around, lotuses open in turn — pink, yellow, white — among broad leaves. At her feet blue waves roll, and an orange dragon-headed, fish-bodied beast rears from the surf, scales and claws crisply carved. The piece is a pond of summer lotus blooming mid-room — made for devotion, or for a bright, airy interior wanting a breath of clear, living grace.
