A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This polychrome standing Buddha is backed by a great radiating golden halo. His snail-curl hair is deep blue with a small gold jewel at the crown, the urna a pale point between the brows, and his eyes are lowered in a calm, inward gaze. The right hand is raised before the chest with the palm turned outward; the left hangs open at his side — both hands are empty. He wears a golden-yellow robe bordered with red scrollwork, a pale green sash crossing from one shoulder, faint patterning running through the cloth. His feet stand together on a large pink lotus in full bloom, its petals layered over a tiered red circular base. Bright, pure and solemn, the figure suits the principal position of a shrine, or a place in a room where the eye is meant to settle.
