A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This polychrome guardian stands before a towering wall of red flame. His body is a deep blue from head to foot; the eyes glare, fangs show at the mouth, and his curly hair is bound up with a small green crest. The right hand grips a tall golden sword held upright, while the lowered left hand carries a golden cord from which a ring and small pouch-like forms depend. A heavy gold necklace falls across his chest, a golden sash crosses one shoulder, and his skirt is a dense pattern of red and green roundels finished with a key-fret hem; armlets, bracelets and anklets are all gold. He stands barefoot on grey rock mounted on a square plinth with gilded corner plates. Fierce in presence yet bright in colour, he belongs beside a shrine door as a protector, or anywhere a room needs a steadying force.
