A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This seated bodhisattva in a warm wood tone holds a golden lotus. A golden crown rises above blue hair combed in strands over the shoulders, and he sits in full lotus on an ample lotus throne, eyes lowered. Behind him a pointed aureole climbs high: its outer rim gathers in layered flame tips, while within, fine radiating lines and a round halo ring the head and body. His right hand lightly grips the lotus stem before his knee, and his left lifts the long golden stem so that two blossoms open in turn beside his shoulder. A golden necklace hangs at his chest, and the robe spreads over his legs in unhurried arcs. The throne's petals are full and rounded, set over a reversed tier and an octagonal seat carved with entwined scrolls. The pale honeyed wood tone stays gentle throughout, gold kept only for crown, necklace and lotus — splendour within stillness. It suits the principal place of a shrine, or the focal point of a room, its seated calm a quiet power to settle the heart.
