A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This golden Buddha sits in full lotus, serene and self-contained. His hair rises in a high, tightly curled topknot with a small urna between the brows; the eyes are lowered, the right hand raised before the chest with fingertips joined in a seal, the left open in a gentle supporting gesture. The robe slips from one shoulder and falls in layered folds that gather in slow arcs across the knees, the whole surface a mellow, inward gold. Beneath him a draped cloth hangs over the seat in soft pleats, and below that rises a rock-form base carved all over with clouds and waves, its face set with five small niches, each holding a tiny seated Buddha echoing the main figure. A commanding yet quiet presence, made for the principal position of a shrine or as the grave centrepiece of a contemplative space.
