A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This golden bodhisattva sits in full lotus on a double lotus pedestal before a towering leaf-shaped aureole of gold. She wears an ornate crown with a small figure set at its centre, her eyes lowered in a gentle smile. Her right hand rises before her chest, fingers pinching a slender willow sprig, while her left hand holds a slim-necked vase in her lap. A beaded necklace falls to her chest and fine bracelets ring her wrists. Robes pour from her shoulders in layers — brilliant gold above, deepening to dark copper at the skirt, the folds rippling slowly across the knees. Behind her the aureole rises leaf-shaped, edged all round with dense flame scrolls and gathering to a single flame tip; within, the field is plain and smooth, with a carved lotus halo behind her head. The lotus petals below are stacked in two engraved tiers. Radiant yet unshowy, the piece suits the principal place of a shrine or the bright focal point of a room.
