A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This copper-toned seated figure rests in full lotus on a double lotus pedestal, palms pressed together at the chest. His hair is drawn into a high knot of dark, almost black curls; a small urna marks the brow, the earlobes fall long, and the eyes are gently closed in a face of complete composure. The joined hands interlace, fingertips rising to meet in a neat pointed arch. His robe covers both shoulders and is patterned all over with a fine cloud design worked into the copper surface; the folds spread from the knees in layered waves where deep bronze and bright gold alternate. Below, two rows of plump, heart-shaped lotus petals carry the seat. The figure holds nothing — the single joined-hands gesture gathers all its gravity: quiet, upright, attentive. Enshrined at the centre of a shrine, or set in a study or quiet room, it slows the eye and the mind together.
