A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This polychrome saint sits on a rock seat, the five-Buddha crown on his head, wearing an orange-red floral robe that falls in heavy folds. The right hand grips a tall ringed staff upright at his side, the left hand rests on the knee holding a small golden orb; one foot steps down from the rock to the plinth, ready to rise. Gilded cloud scrolls spread across the sash on his back, and at the foot of the rock crouches a golden-orange lion-like beast with open jaws, turned toward its master. The carved octagonal plinth carries the whole group. Weighty in presence yet poised to set out, it suits a home shrine or a collection corner — one deep earthiness against all the surrounding warmth.
