A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This seated Buddha in deep copper tones, cross-legged in full lotus, wears an understated antique-bronze darkness over his whole surface. His snail curls cluster tightly, the ushnisha rises to a point, long earlobes touch his shoulders, and his eyes are half closed; a faint red on the lips is the only bright note in the figure. The right arm hangs down, fingertips lightly touching the seat before his knee, while the left hand lies open across his belly, palm turned upward. The robe clings and falls in concentric folds like ripples spreading over knees and legs — plain, yet rhythmic. Behind him, on either side, stands a coloured banner with gold characters ranged on red ground and tassels hanging. He sits on a round woven-pattern cushion seat, its lattice and scrollwork neatly carved. Quiet and self-contained, he belongs in a study, a tea room or a meditation corner, keeping company while the mind slowly gathers itself.
