This seated bodhisattva in green tones rests on a lotus pedestal. She wears a towering crown of layered leaves, round floral ornaments at her ears, and her fine, serene face smiles with lowered eyes. Seated in full lotus on a double lotus throne, she rests one foot on a small lotus reaching out before the seat. Her right hand hangs in a seal, a tiny mark carved into the palm; her left forms a gentle gesture at her chest, and the posture is composed. Behind each shoulder rises a flowering stem — an open bloom on one side, a closed bud on the other — their leaves deepening the stillness. The whole surface is blue-green, mottled with patina, as if steeped in time. Refined and gentle, it suits devotional enshrinement or the principal position in a space needing steadiness — one does not tire of looking at it.
