A viewer's written impression — not a buyer review or first-hand record
This copper-toned bodhisattva carries a greenish patina across its whole surface, as if steeped in time. Crowned and with eyes lowered, the figure sits with hands joined in a seal at the chest, fingertips touching; the legs cross loosely at the ankles and hang before the seat, each foot resting on a small lotus bud — a far more relaxed posture than the full lotus. Behind rises a tall flame-shaped aureole, its pierced border carved with scrolling foliage and cloud, the flame tips shading from grey-green up into gold, as though genuinely alight. A plain square plinth below steadies all that upward energy. The stillness of the patina against the heat of the flames is the piece's quiet drama. Suited to devotional contemplation, or to a dimmer space where the aureole's outline can emerge on its own.
